Two new partners join Genuine People

We are delighted to announce that Jo Wiggins and Gerhard Schiele have joined Genuine People.

Jo Wiggins has been working alongside us on a number of projects and decided to join our team based in Auckland at the start of this year. Jo brings with her a wealth of experience in significant change projects, organisational development and programme management. She is an experienced and seasoned senior leader and project director who spent over 20 years in local government in operational then planning and high profile project roles. She developed a reputation as a results oriented driven manager with a high degree of energy and integrity. Jo’s last role in local government was as the Group Manager, Special Projects at Auckland City Council leading the $350m redevelopment of Auckland’s Central Business District. Jo joins me in the Auckland office, and will lead our Change Leadership Stream.

Gerhard Schiele was on the leadership team of Hewlett Packards Asia Pacific Japan PC business, and he was an extremely talented peer of mine, so i was delighted when he moved with his family to NZ, and wanted to join the team. Gerhard brings extensive global experience in the areas of strategy, business planning, marketing, business management, alliances and product management. He has more than 20 years of experience in business optimization in high tech and telecommunications. Gerhard is based in Queenstown, and will manage our South Island clients, and Strategy and Planning stream.

Genuine People Update Aug / Sept 2014 – Lessons from a Market Stall

“While travelling recently in Barcelona, I stayed right next to Mercat de La Boqueria – one of the oldest continuous markets in the world, dating back to 1217, and watching the stall holders interact with their customers a number of things struck me about how we might be overcomplicating the world in which most of us operate in.
